Lyman Ward Military Academy Cadet Completes Classified Military Assignment         Author/Alumnus Set to Release Second Novel of the ‘Ghost Ranger’ Series

Author Nick Myers is set to release his second novel chronicling the fictional life of Lyman Ward Military Academy (LWMA) Cadet Wes Jefferson, a young man who entered the Academy with a promising future, and who did not disappoint when selected to participate in several classified military operations.

Though the novel is based on a fictional character, its author is a graduate of LWMA and served 26 years in the Army National Guard and Reserves. Nick Myers recently retired from a 20-year career in law enforcement fighting organized crime, drug smuggling and terrorism for the FBI.

“Lyman Ward plays a significant role in both the first book, Ghost Ranger – The Beginning, and the soon-to-be-released second book, Ghost Ranger – The Probation,” says Myers.  “The Academy was instrumental in my own development, and I thought it was the perfect setting for the books.  The teen years are a very impressionable time during a young man’s life, yet Lyman Ward has established a template for the successful development of the ‘whole’ man – from academics, self discipline and confidence, to respect, time management, and patriotism.”

Myers notes that as society changes, Cadets at Lyman Ward will be well prepared for the future.  “Cadets learn at an early age that they can survive on their own without someone there to catch them when they fall.  You learn to stand on your own two feet, and accept responsibility head on.”

Myers’ second book, Ghost Ranger – The Probation, picks up where his first book left off with its hero facing a new assignment in the Middle East – but this time it’s personal.  Myers plans to release the six-part series, with a new book being published every six months.  Ghost Ranger – The Probation will be available mid-March through all major online book retailers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Books-a-Million.  Myers plans to donate 100 books to the Lyman Ward Alumni Association for resale, with all profits going to the school.

Based in Camp Hill, Alabama, LWMA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.  LWMA is one of less than 50 military boarding schools nationally, educating young men from grades 6-12.  For more information, visit www.lwma.org, or visit the Ghost Ranger site at www.theghostranger.com.
